After passport application submitted with photograph and fingerprint normal passport takes 21 working days . This is the case with ordinary passports. However, seven days are required for urgent passports and only 2 days for Express delivery.
To check passport status first you need to go to this website, www.epassport.gov.bd. After clicking on the link, a page like the picture will open in front of you. You will also see the Check Status in the passport as shown in the picture. Click here.

After clicking there, it will take you to a new page. You are given a slip while applying for e-passport. Your Online Registration ID and Application ID are written on that slip. Enter any Online Registration ID or Application ID here. Then enter your date of birth in the box below. While writing the date of birth, remember to give the first day, then the month and finally the year.

E-Passport status check by SMS
Send the application ID to 16445 in the below format. You will get application ID on the delivery slip below the barcode on the top right side and on the top left side. Send [ EPP xxxx-xxxxxxxxx ] to 16445 to check passport status. EPP space Application ID send to 16445 . Next SMS you will know your Passport status
