How to apply for E-Passport
E-Passport is a new technology of Bangladesh. Many people used to think that a passport is needed only to go outside the country. First Step:
For the application of e-passport now you have to fill few steps. You will see in the first step Check availability of e‑Passport in your region that e-passport is available in the place where you are or the district and department you are live in, currently e-passport is available everywhere in Bangladesh. Passport is activated you select your category then district and click on continue.
Second Step:
After giving your district for e-passport application then click on continue, a new page will appear for giving email, you enter your email and fill a capture click on continue.
Third Step:
Enter your account information for e-passport application, you have to give your account information in this step. First, password and then name exactly as you have given on your NID card. Click Create Account with nickname and mobile number. Immediately an activation message will be sent to your email. After activating the account, you can login with your email and the password you have given.
Apply for e-passport
Instructions for filling e-passport form:
1. The e-passport application form can be filled online
2. No document attestation will be required in case of e-passport application.
3. No photograph attachment will be required in the e-passport form.
4. Application form should be filled as National Identity Card .
5. Minor (less than 18 years) applicants who do not have National Identity Card (NID) must mention the National Identity Card (NID) number of their father or mother.
6. National Identity Card (NID) or Online Birth Registration (BRC) Certificate to be submitted as per following age (a) Online Birth Registration (BRC) Certificate if below 18 years.
(b) National Identity Card (NID) or Online Birth Registration (BRC) certificate if 18-20 years (c) National Identity Card (NID) required if above 20 years. However, Online Birth Registration (BRC) certificate will be accepted in case of application from Bangladesh Mission abroad.
7. Serial numbers marked with an asterisk must be filled in.
8. In case of adoption/guardianship, an order issued by the Department of Security Services, Ministry of Home Affairs should be submitted along with the passport application.
9. The application should be submitted to the concerned Departmental Passport and Visa Office/Regional Passport Office/Bangladesh Mission Abroad at the present address.
10. For all applications below 18 years and above 65 years, the validity of e-passport will be 05 years.
